Do you run the tours yourselves, or through providers?
Tours are a coordinated service: the council arranges them with specialist providers rather than operating them itself. Our part is proposing a cultural or introductory itinerary, coordinating timings and whatever bookings are available, and arranging transport and guidance in the language you ask for. The people running the tour on the day work for the provider.
Can I book one of these tours as a holiday package?
No. These tours accompany a delegation's programme rather than being sold as a standalone tourism product, and no consumer pricing or packages appear on this site. If you are looking for leisure travel on its own, a licensed tour operator is the right place to go.
Can the tour be guided in a language other than Arabic or English?
Guidance in the language you request is part of what gets arranged, so we put your group's language to the provider during coordination. Whether a specific language can be covered comes down to which guides are free on that date, and that is the provider's call rather than ours. Name the language early, alongside the group's interests; the council's own working languages are Arabic and English.
Our schedule is full of meetings. How does a tour fit in?
The itinerary is built around the delegation programme, not the other way round, so we start from the time genuinely free between commitments and from your starting point. We then propose a route that suits that window and the size of the group, and coordinate bookings and transport so they sit around the rest of the day.
Are site visits and entries confirmed in advance?
We coordinate whatever bookings are available, but the confirmation itself rests with the venue or the provider and with what its schedule allows. That is why we ask for participant numbers and available time early, so there is room to put an alternative into the itinerary if one option is closed.
