Which languages do you work in?
The council itself works in Arabic and English, and anything beyond that is arranged by coordinating with specialist translators. Tell us the source language, the target language and the subject matter, and we will confirm what can be arranged.
Will the translation be certified and accepted officially?
That depends on the document and on the body it will be submitted to, and acceptance is their decision rather than ours. This is why establishing the receiving organisation's requirements is part of the service, so the translation is produced in the form they ask for.
Do you provide interpretation for meetings and events?
Yes. The service covers interpreters for meetings and delegations, and event interpretation along with the equipment it requires. We need the subject and duration of the session and the languages involved in order to arrange the right interpreters and equipment.
Who actually does the translating?
This is a coordinated service: the council arranges it with specialist translators while handling the requirements and following the work through. The translator is chosen on the basis of the subject, the language pair and how the translation will be used.
What do you need in order to scope the work?
The source and target languages, the subject and either the document volume or the length of the meeting, the date you need it by, and what the translation will be used for. The intended use matters most, because a document going to an official body carries different requirements from internal material.
